Event Details

As part of an ongoing partnership with Sunset magazine and after continued support from the Celebration Weekend and 2012 Wine Competition volunteers, Children’s Health Council (CHC) has been asked by Sunset to provide approximately 40 participants to help with the second annual Sunset International Wine Competition. It will be held at the Sunset campus at 80 Willow Road, Menlo Park, on April 6, 7, 8, and 9.

All participants will be paid minimum wage plus any applicable overtime in addition to getting wine. CHC and Sunset hope that all participants will strongly consider making a donation of either all or part of their earnings to CHC upon registration. Donations are tax deductible.

Participants are being asked to commit to all 4 days of the competition and those that do will be given preference, followed by those that register for three and then two days. There are a limited number of positions available.

Participants will be required to attend one 2-hour information and employment enrollment session March 10-12 with weekday, evening and weekend choices (food and wine provided). Participants will be served continental breakfast and lunch each day of the event; there will not be an opportunity to leave the campus during working hours. Must be 18 years of age to participate.

Approximate hours: Saturday, Sunday, April 6 and 7: Breakfast available: 8:00-9:00am; work 9:00am to 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Monday, Tuesday, April 7 and 8: Breakfast avaialble 7:30-8:00am; work 8:00am to 5:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Optional complimentary wine tasting both evenings.
